TY Chapter 6: Incincerated by Black Flames

“Wu…” That was a peculiar sound. It felt like an ancient calling, as though a music piece from the ancient era was echoing from somewhere. A ray of light that did not seem to belong to this world shot out from the Black Door and descended along the pillar of flame. It then split into four and fell directly onto the head of the four casting the spell.

An indescribable power gushed down from Heaven and entered the bodies of the four. Their bodies started to change rapidly as the clothes on them started to tear apart, seemingly unable to withstand the overwhelmingly powerful Spiritual Energy.

However, a look of intense pleasure appeared on their four faces. They ground their teeth in order to bear with the pain. Yet, at the same time, they could feel the wild Spiritual Energy in their powers heading towards the limits that they find had found impossible to break through. It felt as though they were achieving the pinnacle, as though they were about to ascend into the realm of gods.

Perhaps, they could become gods in the next instant!

In the light, it could be seen that Black Door was about to descend. The divine ancient figure was about to appear. Everything was in the final stages. Yet, the door has not opened. It seemed that they were so, so close, they just needed that one final step.

It seemed as though they were simply lacking that last bit of power!

Yun Shou Yang roared, “Hei Lang!”

His peripheral vision suddenly blurred. In a split instant, he could see that the area beside him became completely empty. The reticent but determined black-clothed man who was by his side guarding him suddenly disappeared!

Yun Shou Yang was astonished. But, before he could react, before any thoughts could form in his head, he felt a sudden, chilling sensation from his back. A black dagger had pierced through his heart, the tip protruding from his chest.

A pale white hand quickly grabbed hold of Yun Shou Yang’s shoulder from behind. The black-clothed youth stuck closely to his back with an expressionless face. Then, with his other hand, he quickly began to pull the sharp black knife out from Yun Shou Yang’s back.

Yun Shou Yang howled. He was shocked to realise that he was unable to move in the slightest. While the powerful energy that was being pumped into his Spiritual Sea grants him unparalleled Spiritual Energy, it caused the veins and arteries of his entire body to swell, resulting in him temporarily losing control over his body.

Besides than Yun Yang Shou, the remaining three were also in a similar condition. The three were looking over with a shocked expression in their eyes as they witnessed Hei Lang on a sudden rampage. But, at that moment, none of them were able to react whatsoever.

In the core of the incomparably powerful energy formation that contained power from the ancient past to the present, the one that was in control of the situation at the moment was the weakest black-clothed youth.

Hei Lang grabbed the handle of his dagger firmly as he withdrew the dagger from Yun Shou Yang’s chest. Instantaneously, a massive fountain of blood spurted, covering over half of his entire body.

That was the fresh blood forced out by the God Spiritual Energy infused into his body from Heaven. The moment an opening appeared, a strong pressure seemed to want to force everything out from it.

Beads of blood also splattered onto Hei Lang’s face, but he was not bothered by it in the slightest. He coldly took in the sight before him and without a word, he stabbed the black dagger back into Yun Shou Yang’s flesh again.

A stab, a stab and yet another stab… He viciously and determinedly turned Yun Shou Yang’s chest into a messy pit of flesh and blood. Upon the 13th stab, the arrogant and mighty Yun Shou Yang finally lost the final sliver of his vitality in despair. His head slumped downwards as he died with his eyes wide open.

Soon afterwards, Hei Lang seemed to sense something. He looked up toward Heaven and started to tremble uncontrollably. A roar from the Black Door that shook the heavens was heard, and he casually threw aside Yun Shou Yang’s lifeless body.

The god pillar of light that was infusing energy into Yun Shou Yang’s body suddenly exploded, fragmenting into countless beautiful pieces in the dark night sky. The originally balanced fire pillar and Black Door started to tremble frenziedly. As the formation lost its light, the god pillars infusing energy into the other three turned brighter and brighter and their auras turned stronger and stronger.

A crazed roar echoed once again from the Black Door and below it, everything fell into a chaotic madness.

The three elders looked on in despair as the formation which has lost its balance started to fall apart. More and more god energy seemed to rush toward them uncontrollably. In the intense whistling of the night gale, their bodies gradually inflated like balloons. Then, the flame swept toward and enveloped them, torching every single inch of their body. Finally, three deafening explosions were heard!

“Boom! Boom! Boom!”

The three bodies exploded, turning into a bloody downpour. Their dismembered bodies were engulfed by the darkness and violent flame.

Almost at the same time as when the body of the Fire Shaman exploded, a formless energy seemed to have been activated somewhere. The 7 incomparably powerful Barbarian Warriors he brought rushed over, roaring, when all them suddenly fell over in unison. It seemed as though the final thread sustaining their lives had snapped suddenly, taking their lives away.

The Black Door in the sky bellowed in misery for one final time. With a tremor that shook both Heaven and Earth, it closed rapidly before disappearing into the dark sky. On ground, fire crept in all directions, illuminating the barren valley for over hundreds of meters. Hei Lang dashed into the depths of the fire and grabbed the white bone which the mysterious seed was entrenched in.

On touch, the white bones reduced to ashes and poured to the ground. The green seed dropped into Hei Lang’s hands. The seed had actually retained its previous might and was not damaged in the least.

Then, at this moment, Hei Lang’s body shivered. He releases a wretched shout of agony.

“AHHHH….”

His mournful voice diffused into the far distance. It resembled the desperate screams of a wild beast. Then suddenly, bundle after bundle of black flames emerged from his body and started to burn furiously.

What was queer was that despite the black flames incinerating his flesh and blood, the clothes on Hei Lang remained completely intact.

Hei Lang felt that he was in hell as he roared toward the sky uninterruptedly. His flesh and blood was seared by the black flames. His skin cracked and flesh was exposed. Fresh blood flowed from his wounds and quickly dried as well. Vaguely, a brilliant silhouette appeared in the Spiritual Sea in his abdomen. But, the fearsome black flames incinerated the silhouette along with him, causing it to disintegrate and disappear into the shadow.

Hei Lang’s everything, even his soul, seemed to boil and crack under the black flame and fragmented…

Ok so it turns out he is not the main character… Ahem. I feel like I got scammed of my 5 chapters of work. But it is a nice story, everyone dies in the end. I like it.

I think I’m getting lazy, I normally try to stick as close to the author’s style of writing but recently, I’ve been paraphrasing the sentence :X Though only for some which are hard to interpret.

“His head slumps downwards as he dies with his eyes wide open.”
Dying with eyes wide open’ is an actual idiom in Chinese, it means that someone died with regrets and resentment etc, anything but peaceful. In this case, he used it quite superbly to describe it literally and _____.

“After hearing a roar from the Black Door that shakes even the heavens, he casually threw aside the lifeless body of Yun Shou Yang.”
I know this part sounds weird, I really don’t get what the author is saying too. Personally, I think it makes more logic sentence structurally (no such word I know) for Hei Lang to be howling towards the Black Door.
