TY Chapter 5: Curse of Black Flames

That seemed to be a voice that came from the primeval past, echoing back into distant history and travelling back again across time to return back to this world, through mystical and bizarre powers. A short moment later, the eyes of the old Barbarian started to bleed.

Black blood!

He brought his hands, with the spark of fire, to his face. At this moment, the Shaman’s peculiar face looked demonic and sinister, incomparably ferocious and absolutely frightening. The spark of fire started to twist about frenziedly, as though it has obtained some kind of power. The two trails of black bloodstain dried rapidly as the blood rose and merged into the fire.

The spark of fire turned black.

A ball of black flame!

Everything quietened down. The Fire Shaman chanted the ancient curse. Under his guidance, Hei Lang spoke his vows, sentence by sentence, toward the black flame. He swore not to tamper with the God Descension Incantation ritual tonight and to give his all. If he were to break his promise, he would suffer the pain from being consumed by the Black Flame.

Following Hei Lang’s vows, the black flame slowly hovered towards his face, finally disappearing without a sound or trace into his forehead, as though it had melded into his flesh and blood.

When everything finally ended, the Fire Shaman gestured and Hei Lang stood up quietly moving to the other end of the bonfire.

Yun Shou Yang nodded towards his disciple and patted his shoulders. With the master’s hands placed on his shoulders, Hei Lang could sense that the esteemed elder was slightly different from his usual self, as well as that slight pressure from the pat.

Hei Lang lifted his head to look towards Yun Shou Yang, nodding his head slightly. Then, he went back to his usual reticent self. Doting affection filled Yun Shou Yang’s eyes and he thought in his mind that if he wasn’t wrong about Hei Lang, he should have no worries handing Xiao Qing over to him in the future.

The cold atmosphere eased up all of a sudden, seeming have to dispersed after the bizarre curse. A hint of smile could even be seen on the face of the cold Fire Shaman.

The important God Descension Incantation was about to begin, as the group finished their final discussion.

Hei Lang kneeled quietly on the floor, the words of those who finally lowered their guards around him echoing by his ear. He caught sight of the acacia flower out of the sudden once again, then again, in the further lands, in the further ground. It seemed that in this valley, numerous fresh red flowers have bloomed among the wild grasses all around.

The red acacia flowers swayed along with the night breeze, just like a woman singing in the dark, beautiful and seductive.

The night sky remained deep and quiet, the slow night seeming as though it would continue perpetually in this darkness, until that speck of light suddenly appeared from the depths of the darkness.

The blinding radiance looked just like sun rising suddenly in the night, illuminating far and wide, becoming a giant ball of flames that burned brilliantly. Soon after, all of the flames gathered in a grand pillar that shot up into the heavens, piercing through the thick ominous clouds.

In that instant, a fierce gale worked up and the clouds churned. The heaven and earth shook as a fearsome aura slowly emitted from the heavens.

In the barren valley, where the giant fireball exuded its brilliance, the three elders of the Three Realm Divine Sect and the Fire Shaman who were by the bonfire took on four different directions and extended their hands into the burning inferno.

This instant, on the ground below them, for a radius over 300 meters, countless patterns of light made up a gigantic, mysterious formation.

All living beings seemed to be expelled from this powerful formation by an invisible force, including the seven powerful Barbarian bodyguards that the Fire Shaman brought along. The only one who remains in the core of the formation other than the four highly-cultivated powerful figures was Hei Lang.

Instantaneously, the inferno turned completely white. It was not difficult to imagine the temperature that the pillar has soared to. The white bone necklace floated in the deepest core of the flames. Under the immense heat, the necklace broke apart and the white bones were reduced to ashes. Only the largest piece of white bone of unknown origin was able to maintain its form. However, judging from the slight cracks that began to appear on it, it seemed to be nearing its limits as well.

In the center of that white bone, that mystical ‘seed’ seemed to be unaffected by the flames whatsoever. It continued to emit a blue-green radiance of powerful vitality. In fact, it seemed to possess even more vitality than before.

It seemed to be steadily absorbing power from the flames. At the same time, the flames that were passing through the seed and shooting into the night sky seemed to be dyed in a unique aura. It seemed to be vaguely summoning something from the boundless skies.

An ancient curse suddenly sounded out and the four incomparably powerful men lifted their heads to look towards the heavens concurrently. Simultaneously, the fearsome aura from the skies fell upon the valley.

Hei Lang sensed something and looked toward the sky as well. He was shocked to see that among the ominous clouds in the heavens, a gigantic dark crack was gradually widening. From the incomparable deep darkness that seemed like an endless abyss, a peculiar gaze was felt to be directed on them.

The crack slowly descended.

The entire barren valley started to shake and the sounds of the tremor traversed from the depths of the earth. The formation on the surrounding ground started to flicker rapidly in quick succession, emitting a powerful strength to suppress the land. However, under the overwhelming power coming from the heavens, the formation seemed to be quickly nearing its limits.

Shrouded in radiance, Yun Shou Yang abruptly shouted, “Release!”

Without any hesitation, Hei Lang stretched to pick up the black dagger. With a flick of his arm, a mysterious blood light flashed for an instant on his body. The small blood gem flew from the sword into the inferno, landing on the green seed with precise accuracy.

“Boom!”

A loud explosion caused the Blood Soul Crystal to be reduced to nothingness. The flames brightened by 30% and the surrounding temperature rocketed. Cracks could be seen appearing on the ground due to the overwhelming heat.

Perhaps due to the attraction created by this overwhelming force, the dark crack in the sky swiftly descended. The Black Door gradually grew larger and larger to the verge of opening completely.

An ancient aura emerged from the depths of the Black Door. A colossal figure similar to the tall mountains and alps, seeming as though it ruled over everything, appeared behind the Black Door and approached this world.

That indistinct gaze seemed to be focused on the mysterious seed, as though the ‘seed’ with overflowing vitality was the most attractive object in this world.
